'A Strage Hour in Budapest' – Berlin Screening

Recoil is very excited to be able to announce yet another screening event for ‘A Strange Hour in Budapest‘ in Europe. These accompany Recoil's Blu-ray release of the full concert film, directed by Attila Herkó. On October 26th, the live concert film will be presented in Berlin at TAK (Theatre Aufbau Kreuzberg) / Prince Charles Club. This will be the only screening event to be held in Germany. Presented in conjunction with Bodystyler & depechemode.de, the Recoil screening is being held as part of Retune's ’Creative Technology Conference‘.

From 26th – 28th October, Retune "brings together artists, hackers, designers, engineers, scientists, tinkerers, producers and instigators in Berlin, providing a platform for exchange between those who passionately experiment and think openly – people willing to break down old concepts and re-invent new ones. Through presentations and workshops, expert knowledge will be imparted. Insiders will present fascinating projects from embryonic thoughts to final implementation, while artists present new electronic instruments and products."

The Recoil film presentation will feature surround sound and both Alan Wilder & Paul Kendall will be in attendance. Alan will host a Q & A session & discussion about the ‘Selected Events’ tour, film project and anything else you want to ask him! Look out for some special signed items for sale – plus other goodies – all followed by an Afterparty with Bar & DJs.

Set in a converted old swimming pool, the Prince Charles Club houses an ‘abundantly stocked’ cocktail bar and a serious sound system. With drink in hand, you can head across the Turkish mosaic tiles to the sprung dance floor or under the night sky via 120 square meters of cool backyard.
