Recoil Tube
We've to confess that Recoil's music is generally not known and even fans of electronic music are lost in individual songs. We can often hear that Alan Wilder's songs are too difficult or depressing for some listeners. Closer approach to this music can come with the visual form. Until now seven official promotional videos exist (Faith Healer, Drifting, Stalker, Shunt, Strange Hours, Jezebel, Electro Blues For Bukka White 2000) as well as three semi-official (Prey, Allelujah, Want [Renegade of Noise 808]).But a large number of fan versions are available on the Internet. It's nice and praiseworthy when someone creates an interesting piece of work to help promote his favorite music. Of course I'm not talking about a static picture with some song. I tried to put together the complete Recoil discography using YouTube. Some videoclips are missing. It can be taken as a challenge for some amateur film makers and graphic designers and now it is only a matter of time ‘till the list will be completed.
Send your tips to your favourite or interesting videos. I'll update the list throughout time. You can send Vimeo (this one is preferred) or YouTube links but also links to other video servers. Static images, low quality movies, clips of unofficial mixes and other inconvenient posts are not acceptable.
